Yes probably - fixtures, kanchelskis etc but I have only just seen it and thought it was a bloody good film.

I now actually think that Daniel Craig may be able to carry off the James Bond thing.....

But still a very good movie, it does wonders for Daniel Craig and makes you think he has a good chance of pulling off Bond!!

You are quite correct Rambo - Layer Cake is an EXCELLENT slab of entertainment. Superbly directed by Matther Vaughn (who was a producer on Lock Stock), like Guy Ritchie he shows some great flourishes with the camera, but without overdoing it and making it gimmicky.

And Daniel Craig is brilliant in it. He can definately carry off the Bond role going by that performance. Top notch. I do like a good Brit crime caper.

Gotta love that telephone conversation with Dragan, the assassin:

...l've got an idea. Why don't
you come round for breakfast? I'll squeeze some orange juice,
and we'll talk about this like adults. How does that sound?

- Sounds very hospitable.

- Do you know where I live?
- No.

Well, f*** off then.

Lock, Stock is Shit, Snatch is ok and Layer Cake is brilliant. Great use of colour, great story, good acting and a very entertaining film.

Craig was good in Munich and I could see the appeal in him as a Bond. Still not as good as this guy who was the obvious choice for Bond. Good looking bastard and a talented actor to boot.

Bale is legend, probably my favorite actor. Imagine if he had been Neo instead of Keanu.

Have you seen THE MACHINIST Les. That film knocked me for 6 and is the best film I have seen in over 5 years. Bale was simply awesome, how on earth he was not nominated for an Oscar I will never know

8.7 out of 10

He pretended to be Neo in Equilibrium, and that was GASH.
