Some DJ I’ve never heard of is the competition to Lawro this week. He lives in Brighton and has a season ticket for the Albion and Arsenal, but is an Arsenal fan. We have a few of these don’t we?

Anyway him and Lawro predict a 1-1

I once tried an experiment where I placed bets based on his predictions. Simple win, lose or draw bets.

F*cking useless.

So he’s going for a 1-1, think that’s sitting on the fence a bit, personally hoping for a clean sheet and a goal or two for us.:albion2:
What Lawro seems not to realise is that if we are going to win the TITLE, we simply HAVE to win games like this.

So anyway, I'll go for 1-0 Norwich. :-(

Given that Norwich are bottom (all season), have the massive total of 1 point, gained against the then second bottom team, averaging more than 2 goals a match against, and a magnificent 0.28 of a goal for, it is obvious how Lawro thinks that we will scrape just a point

After all we have lost once(to a top 5 team) , haven't been out of the top 6 all season (I think), have got the joint highest clean sheets in the league, have a GD of +18 on Norwich, and averaging about 1 goal a match more than them, while conceding less than a goal a game, the record of Norwich this year is so close to ours they can barely be separated

I know it would be a very " Brighton" thing to drop points, but surely this game has an away win written all over it if you look at the current stats and performances of both teams

How does he come up with his predictions- it doesn't seem he uses current form or stats

I agree with your sentiment to a degree, but the cynic in me thinks ' well they have to win at some point' Comes from years of disappointment! :)

Do we really want to break with tradition and stop gifting the bottom teams points? I mean it is cruel to give false hope but it is part of the fabric of our club to do so.

They’ve not had the kindest of fixtures, it’s very early in the season and I worry opinions like this are what makes the board blow up at defeats or bad results tbh. A draw tomorrow would be decent enough - no such thing as a bad away point and definitely no such thing as an easy game in this div!

Are we a little bit guilty of saying we should be beating #teams like Norwich?

I have always admired the cut of your jib, but the exquisitely measured and reflective nature of your posts in recent months has truly transcended the mundane and reached a level of reflectiveness that can only be admired. Arnold.
