[Football] Lawro reckons we are going backwards

I listened to the Lawrenson interview. He sounded like he'd based his entire analysis of the Albion on watching the Liverpool game and a couple of game highlights on Motd. Then pieced together his opinion on what he can remember on this and last year's results. Proper boring old fart. Whilst we're capable of top 6, we're capable of bottom half. We were great and annoying last season and have that potential again, but better. Just enjoy the amazing ride and entertaining football.

But on this season alone he is correct, we came out of the blocks flying and now it's draw, draw, draw so we have gone backwards AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME.

The significant question should be is this a dip or a permanent decline, my opinion temporary dip but this world is now based on short term sensationism.

The musician woman up against him this week seems to know her onions and a damn sight more than ‘Lawro’. Her predictions at least have some basis in reality. Pack him off to the nursing home behind the Spion Kop.

Not surprisingly, lawro has us losing 2-0 tomorrow.

So go on us winning big time!

“ in that regard they have regressed a bit ( ..they have stopped taking opportunities now and not beating teams) to the way they were last season , when they did not score enough goals”

Can’t argue with that, but I can’t remember the last time he had us down for a win.

Wow the bloke is a Genius!

He must have known Hairy Porter was going to make 2 absolute howler substitutes and throw the game in te last 10 minutes.

With any luck TB went big on it and we have the budget for a striker in Jan

To be honest I only switched on sky at the very moment the yell went up when mings scored

I can’t be arsed listening to us away anymore.

I spent all afternoon rigging a ship… 7DDB42F3-4E97-4BB9-ADFE-ABB1EC8FC67B.jpeg

Well he was right!
Most of our passes went backwards today. Toothless up front.

The odd thing is we managed to create decent chances against Liverpool then fail abysmally against teams you would expect are easier to play against.

GPs achilles heel unfortunately. Can't work out how to beat teams that are struggling, but has us playing glorious football often against the big boys

Imho that’s because the big boys (other than zzzzz Arteta’s Arsenal) play ball and believe that they can outplay us. Giving us space.

Anything else from the opposition eg a packed defence and we hit the buffers. Passing becomes for passing’s sake.

Yup. Although the arsenal game was one of our good performances so far 5his season; should've won that one.

Bissouma, cucurella, Lamptey have bags of pace. Should be able to find a way to break packed defences down with those three playing, imo. although I really don't like seeing gross and lallana in the same line up in the middle

I can’t remember a successful counter attacking Albion team. Possibly CH in the Championship at times?

I must have a low frustration threshold , as I’m a bit bored of us being a methodical possession based team.

Would love to see us tear possession based teams apart on the counter. With goals ….. do you remember them?

It doesn’t to be in the awful Roy Hodgson vein.

Viera has been there 5 minutes and Palace are scoring for fun at the moment
