It was even on the official message board at 7am this morning. Not all Newhaven residents are slow Everest

The funniest thing is that he says - "remember you heard it here first" yet he must have either heard it on the media or seen it on the net himself so how could it have been the first even if it hadn't been talked about all day!

It is only an exclusive if it comes direct from a source inside the club. Once news is out and you try taking the credit yourself you're setting yourself up for ridicule

To be fair he did say "remember where you heard it first" not "remember you heard it here first"

There's a serious point here - I pay for SMS messages from the club, and the one ref Carole, McShane, etc, came through around 12.30 today. But the Argus web site had the news at 7am - why does the club expect us to pay good money for "exclusives", but gives the same story to the press the day before??
