Murray is most at risk,if he shows no intrest in a new contract (and i dont know that ) then i am sure Poyet/Bloom will not let go for nothing in the summer.

Unfortunately, if Muzza doesn't sign a new contract, Poyet/Bloom will not have much choice.

I know what you mean but at least it's limited. In less than a fortnight that'll be it, finished, no more rumours until the end of season. In the old days this went on from the start of the season right up until March (transfer deadline day), at least this way we've got one month of shit and the rest of the time we can concentrate on the football - barring managerial changes.

Why does it? it doesn't sound like it to me. It seems more likely to be referring to fringe squad members or those who arn't involved at all maybe going if in everyones interest.

Bloom said in a recent statement that “Neither Gus nor I have any intention, need or want to sell any of our best players, certainly not in January.” I would take that to mean that Murray is likely to here til the end of the season at the very least.

i agree. we should of sorted murrays contract out at the start of the season and if he didnt sign, we should of sold him then. hes a great player and id rather get 400 or 500k at the start and replace him than let him go for free in a few months. it does worry me that he and dicker still havent signed new deals.

It might well be that Murray is playing so well because he has only 6 months left on his contract.

It is a very common phenomenom in American Football. A guy plays at his top level in his contract season because he wants the best deal possible.

And the next season his performance drops off when he's got a nice long contract, top wages and job security for the next 5 years.

If Murray had played at this level last season, I'm sure a contract would have been offered and accepted by now.

Its easy to say when its not YOUR money, but I can't see any point in taking £250k or so for Murray, becuase he's out of contract. EVen if he leaves for free in a few months, its worth the gamble - propmotion is worth TWENTY times that figure.

im not saying take 250k for him now. we might aswell lose him for free if we go up. but we would of got more money at the start of the season.

I'm not sure we would, he didn't have an outstanding season last year and probably wouldn't have got much more than the 300k we paid for him if we sold him in the summer

Although I would like to agree with this, as I bloody love Glenn and what he brings to the team no-one else can offer, but I wouldn't want a Beckford like scenario where he starts not trying towards the end of the season with the fear of getting injured etc. I just wish he would sign a new contract
