Trying to win a few friends in Yorkshire is he

I doubt it. Just ask any Huddersfield, Bradford, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Barnsley, Doncaster etc etc fan what they think of Leeds.

To be fair, they could justifiably be described as a second team.

Second best to Swansea City, that is (that's Swansea who played half the game with ten men).

Leeds :salute: :tosser:

Martin Keown on Football Focus re; Leeds "they're everyone's second team"

WHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTT?

Entirely true, so long as you consider every other football team on the face of the Earth to be tied in first place.

Reminds me of someone- I can't remember who- on Five Live once, who stated that it would be a tragedy for football if Newcastle United were relegated.

Utter rubbish, many people love to see the so called big clubs fall from grace, that's just human nature. And it also revitalises football- whether you like Leeds, Forest etc or not, you can't deny it shakes things up in the lower leagues to have clubs like them in the mix.

I admired the early O'Leary period where they had a mainly home grown side before Risdale launched the financial equivalent of the charge of the light brigade.

Sounds like Alan Green, who believes the big clubs own football.

The thing is, we can all have a laugh and a rant about it, but the more serious point is why are we having to watch these moron pundits?

Like everyone else on here, I sat listening to Keown say that in total disbelief. There was no irony there, he meant it.

So either he is just sitting there merrily spouting bullshit for his thousands, or he's got zero feel for the football pulse of the nation. Either way, we'd all be better off without him. I bet they're having fun with that comment of the Man Utd boards.

I didn't see it but surely, surely he must have been taking the piss??

I admit, I wouldn't necessarily have attributed a witty, wry sense of humour to rather rather thuggish former cloggers like him but, rather like Geoff Capes keeping budgies, you never know. Otherwise he's clearly just headed the ball too often.
