I heard on the radio a very original chant of "Does your boyfriend know you're here" from the Brizzle Rovers fans, then i heard a lot of ironic clapping and cheering from us but i missed the reply chant, which it seemed had Brizzle Rovers in a bit of uproar, what was it??

It was probably the equally tiresome "You're Welsh and you know you are."

We are, I think, the most inventive fans there are. Why we have to sink to the levels of other fans with a few songs like the above, I do not know.

I remember years ago, Brizzle Rovers fans chanting "Number Two's a homosexual" at Crumplin. Not sure what the football genius had done to warrant it, but it's the first (and only ) time that I've heard gay chants directed at the players.

On this subject - did anyone else not think the Rovers mascot - the pirate - was asking for trouble?

He walked in front of the Albion fans at half-time and, as he received some good natured banter, turned his back, bent over and pointed at his arse.

The electronic scoreboard was laid out in such a way as it appeared that after 1 minute the score was Rovers 0 Brighton 1, for the next 10 minutes or so, each time the minute went up we sang 2-0 to the Albion, 3-0, 4-0 etc.

Pretty inventive for the first couple of minutes, but then got a bit stale, at least it didn't come to 90-0 to the Albion!

I had to cringe at that, normally when we sing "What division are you in?" we go on to lose.

Anyone remember Fulham in the cup, Goldstone Ground, freezing cold, live on the box, lost on pens?

They came back with "In the third, in the third, in the third"

D'oh!
