Had 6 Baggies in the pub ths evening, eating grub and drinking beer. They said they've had the most enjoyable losing away weekend ever.

Sycophantic twats.

The lack of Saint George flag is disappointing not as disappointing as the amount of the EU flag on display.

Agree with this although the EU flags are only amongst the prominaders which are made up of a lot of posh twats. In all the other areas and venues it's British and English flags all the way.

The center point of the BBC cameras is inside the hall where the EU flags are. I believe, that is his/her point

Lmao, ok like the demonstrations today and the press pictures taken. Small amount in an otherwise ocean of Union Jacks and British flags. The press and remainers really are so desperate but hey it was fantastic music wasn't it? Did you especially enjoy Jerusalem?

Pro-Remain people / organisations stand outside the Royal Albert Hall and hand out free EU flags before the Last Night of the Proms. They did this last year too.

Of course, people have to be minded to accept them and wave them, but this is why a disproportionate number is seen in the Hall as opposed to other venues across the UK. Plus many of the people on the floor of the hall are undergraduates from across the EU, studying in the UK - particularly Oxford and Cambridge. It was noticeable that the EU flags were only on the floor and not in the boxes. And of course, non-existent in Hyde Park, Cardiff or N Ireland.

Strangely muted this year, I thought. Usually over-runs, but this year just went through with a clinical run-through of all the required bits. Job done, now let's go home. The atmosphere in the Royal Albert Hall was just lacking its normal fizz. Possibly due to the considerable over-representation of remoaners at the venue. Was it planned as some sort of half-arsed protest, I wonder?
Probably not - probably just London people thinking that London = Britain, and speaks for the rest of us. Doubtless there would have been a whole mess of spontaneous orgasms if the band had played Ode to Joy instead of Jerusalem.

From The Independent....

"Brexiteers have hit out at a campaign group handing out 10,000 pro-EU flags to audience members at the BBC’s Last Night of the Proms show. Activists were due to give out the banners outside the Royal Albert Hall, in west London, on Saturday night while wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan “thank EU for the music EU”.

The Conductor chap was shit.

His job is to get the whole Hall involved in the last few pieces, which starts with his speech. Reading it from A5 cards like he was giving the awards for 'Photocopier salesperson of the year' flattened the whole occasion.

That's Hyde Park, not the Royal Albert Hall

Great to see so many EU flags

Got it on waiting for MOTD. Hall full of irritating toffs, as annoying a crowd as at Wimbledon. Loving the amount of EU flags on show though.

The reason there are so many EU flags is the lefties were handing them out for free outside The RAH.

I can't believe they call the Right facists while trying to stifle free speach and democracy.

We voted LEAVE FFS get over it.

Not a very fashionable view but I bloody love being British. Best country in the world. And the best flag too.

It's not unfashionable to love being British. It's just unfashionable to hate everyone else.

True, that didn't help either. He didn't seem to have any idea of the significance of the occasion.

Sorry mate - we're still in a democracy (just), so we can wave our EU flags. The more the Leavers hate it, the more Remainers enjoy it!
