We had a situation around the end of November where I had to turn across a roundabout to avoid a car going the wrong way round.
I've seen it a few times here where if someone wants to go back in the direction they have come from they will not bother going around the roundabout and just perform a u turn on the wrong side.
Anyway I had to turn into the roundabout which had a high curb but the land was also a bit sunken which meant it had a high kerb the other side too. It was pretty much a blur but we came out the other side with the front bumper a bit broken, a burst tyre and a broken side mirror.
The thing is this roundabout is absolutely full of trees but somehow we managed to go through the only gap through the trees.
Of course the other MF had driven off and luckily there were no other cars on the roundabout.
No injuries and the car was fixed on the insurance but I drive past that roundabout every day and think how the hell did I not go head on into one of the trees.
Pure luck I guess but it still pops into my head quite frequently.
