... I bought a print as well, numbered 194.

Love it, a wonderful momento. Like KSA, it was the best tenner I've spent.

What's with a couple of the comments above, then?

Are these the same prints that The History Man was selling recently for £10?

Why are they now £75?

Back in early 2007 i donated 100 prints to the Supporters Club on the understanding that they were to be sold to their members to raise money towards a new club museum at Falmer which was being talked about then. I explained that the prices were £75 therefore even with a small discount to the members the supporters club should raise around £6000. I later heard that the supporters club voted to sell the prints for something like £5 to their members. An act of stupidity and their loss.

The prices are £75 and will increase to £100 later this year as the prints sell. The concept of the limited edition print is that there will be no more and certainly not with Gritt's and Storer's signatures.

Is it not a case of supply and demand, the supporters club obviously could get shot of them at £75 so reduced the price to a tenner. As good as the print is (unframed) I would never have paid £75 for it.

Supply and demand yes. Diamonds only have value because the supply is kept low. There are millions of diamonds kept in storage. Regards limited edition prints.. There are just 500 signed and printed. Once they are gone they are gone. For those who bought at £10 through the supporters club they got a deal but the supporters club were more than a little stupid.. They decided against the price that was set. Bit like selling a pound for 10p..

Up to the individual and we all have our own opinion of whats value for money and whats not.

As far as i understand the supporters club never offered the prints at £75 at any point. They took a vote on reducing the price to just £5 for members and £10 for non members. Tim had a commodity which the supporters club voted to devalue because they had no clue as to what they had even though i explained what they had. Now they have sold them all and lost out on at least £5000.

If you value one of these limited edition prints signed by Gritt and Storer at £10 then thats your valuation and your entitled to that opinion.

Well as they are brighton fans they are well experienced in "selling a pound for 10p"
:lolol:

Anyway Stewart, I shouldn't get too narked. the art is the thing and if you hadn't pressed your finger down at the paticular moment oin April 1997 none of this would be remembered at all!

indeed, and stewart wouldn't be better off between somewhere between 500 times £75 or less maybe for those of us that paid a tenner. less commissions deducted, less signing fees, less, oh i give up.

even an accountant like me can't work out why you're re-advertsing your ware stewart. gots some bills coming up is my only guess. i've got that picture, and a tenner is good value. but only just.
