Leeds (H) 81? won 2-0 to stay up, Fozzie scored at the north end.
Leeds (A) 82? we were leading 1-0 and sending Leeds down but they scored twice due to unbelievably noisy support and we snuck out alive.
Newcastle (A) 79 say no more. estimated 10k albion invaded the pitch and took the main stand to acclaim ther players
Sheff Utd (h) 85 left my railcard at home at Uni and couldn't afford the train(!)
Hereford (A) 97 horrible, horrible day. But it could have been worse.
Rochdale (H) 72 'Shirley' scoring and the pitch invasion. watched from the west seats with my dad, aged 8

Two for me the best being Wilkins against Ipswich

And Stoke City even though they had been relegated invading the pitch and the North stand "hardmen" disapearing pretty quick.

Leeds at home in 81 (first game I ever saw) and winning to stay up
Cup Final 83
Bristol Rovers 88 - we got the right result obviously, but the best bit was watching Devon White (Rovers centre forward) tripping over the "Player of the Season" banner that was still staked into the middle of the pitch (and very visible) when the teams ran out.
Ipswich 91 - Wilkins last gasp Free-kick to secure play-offs (we'll forget about the play-off final)
Hereford 97 - Most tense game I'll ever see

Seen all the end of season games since and with the exception of the play-off final win over Bristol City, none of them stick out in the mind as much as those earlier games.

Promotion on the last day of the season V Bristol Rovers (87/88) probably my favourite ever season as a Brighton supporter.....also Hereford (96/97), not an enjoyable day but memorable (and we got the result we needed)....Millenium stadium po final was fantastic.

Easy: Stockport at Home - To stay up and seeing Slade hoisted on fans shoulders (not an easy feat)

I can't remember the season bit I think we got relegated away at Ipswich who had gone up themselves. I turned up without a ticket not realising it was all ticket and sold out. I was eventually let in 10 mins after kick off and we lost (2-0?). I think that was the moment things started to go downhill for us.

1958 - Albion 6 Watford 0 -Adrian Thorne's big night. I was only 8 but can remember how crowded it was, quite daunting. I wonder how many of the crowd who were there that night are still with us, am I a tad old for this forum??

Never too old.

I've got the Argus report for that match somewhere.

.

I'm in there somewhere. Went straight down from school. Being a teenager, I stood in the Northstand. Remember clambering over the wall at the front waiting for the final whistle. My earliest memory of a celebratory night at the Albion. Packed out. Rochdale scored a long range equaliser to conveniently keep them up. Great night.

Mind you, we came straight back down again the following season!

1965 Darlington. Evening game, waited with anticipation all day. 31,423 at the Goldstone. 3-1 - clinched promotion and the Div 4 Title. First goal was Albion's 100th for the season (Jimmy Collins). Unbeaten at home all season - the last time we did that (until now ?)

Was also at most of the others mentioned above.

Probably those same lads who emptied out the North Stand when Leeds were in town a season or two later.

Was the same season!! Only 1 week apart. Leeds was the Chapman own goal, JC header!

After Leeds charged up to the North Stand, thought the Stoke effort was funny by comparison (including their camel-2 of my Stoke mates).
