BID FOR DANNY CULLIP'S SIGNED ALBION SHIRT - ALL PROCEEDS TO THE TSUNAMI APPEAL FUND

Club Press Release:

Brighton & Hove Albion are putting rivalry aside in the build up to this weekend's match at Sheffield United to raise vital funds for the Tsunami Disaster Appeal Fund.

The Seagulls are linking up with the South Yorkshire club - who they tackle at Bramall Lane on Saturday - and their former skipper Danny Cullip - who transferred from Brighton to Sheffield United in December of last year.

Cullip has signed his old Albion number four shirt and donated it for auction on Albion's official website and supporters' site North Stand Chat in aid of the Tsunami appeal. He will also hand over the number 32 Sheffield United match shirt he wears against Albion this weekend for auction on the Sheffield United website, with all proceeds from both auctions going directly to the fund.

Cullip said, "The disaster in South East Asia has affected many millions of people. The devastation is immense and I am pleased that I can help in this small way towards the rebuilding of people's lives."

Thanks - my wife will be pleased too as Danny was her favourite player. She was gutted when he went to Sheffield Utd. At least she got to see hime again last Saturday.

It's her birthday next week so I hope to be able to surprise her with Danny's shirt!
