I think we are likely to be able to gauge demand for tickets to away games for our club better than some absolute bell cheese on their board. We've been given 2,000, and as luck would have it, that feels about par for this one. If they'd given us more tickets, I don't think we'd have sold them, but 2,000 is about right IMO.
It's the timing straight after Middlesbrough away that's all as if we was resting players and knew this a while ago we'd take 5k no probs.

Have a word would you. If it's a monetary/work problem then fair enough, but none of this victimising ourselves shit.

The apathy toward the playoffs is starting to grate at me, time to move on from that fateful game, it's far from over.

The playoffs are great pal and you like many are still pissed off because we slipped up on Saturday and need to get over it.

You're right, but i'm never going to 'get over' that game because it was a ****ing travesty, I'll be as angry about it in 10 years time as much as I am now.

It's not raw with me anymore though, I just want to repress it and move on. Hopefully the (presumably imminent) decision about you know what will serve as some form of closure, whichever way it goes.

Thanks chaps. Perhaps we can find similar ways to make it less hospitable for their mob. We really do give away fans far too easy a ride.

Wonder out of interest how the home ticket sales are going up there?!

Sales were suspended over the weekend with just a few restricted view left. Announcement due this afternoon regarding remaining and possibly additional tickets being released (hence speculation about lower tier tickets being sold to Wednesday fans)

The last few tickets for Monday got snapped up about half an hour ago

The point was more that we definitely aren't one of the most boring teams to watch... and our fans ARE aware that we haven't beaten any of the top 6, of course we are. For me anyway, it adds that 'nothing to lose' feeling to the tie... you guys finished so far ahead and have the most pressure on you.

In terms of not beating anyone in the top 6, no one in the play offs has beaten us. 6 draws out of 6. I'm pretty sure that ultimately it has no bearing on any of the results that will happen in the play offs and it will just be down to who copes best on the day.

Sorry Carlos, whilst I agree with your second para.

You really were IMO the most negative and dull team to play at The Amex. I am sure you'll be stronger with Forestieri though. As you mentioned perhaps your manager just adopted these tactics against tougher teams.....

It's a football match not life or death....Dust yourself down and get with it as the club need positivity not miserable fans:lolol:

None of my family are going to Sheffield due to the M1 on a Friday so a day off work plus the costs for the day. Easier to go to work, have a beer and watch it on Sky then go to The Amex Monday. I wouldnt disagree with them as I will be doing similar and who cares if Wednesday only sell 500 tickets to pocket the money.

Wednesday don't 'pocket the money' as it goes. The gate money from all four play-off semis, is weirdly totalled up and shared between the four competing clubs.

Good to know. Close to your attendance record or is that uncovered corner not being used this time round?

Miles away - 72k back in the 30s is the record. In my lifetime we got 49k for the Boxing Day Massacre but in modern times the record would be the promotion clincher v Wycombe (38k From memory) We allocated them the triangle (where the Sky studio will be on Friday) and we sold the rest of the ground out. With the segregation, SYP & the safety advisory group, I don't think we'll get many more than 33k

Unlike normal league games then? If so I take that bit back as I didnt know that but can still fully understand people opting for TV.

I meant your record in an all seater stadium. The capacity is still listed as 39k no?

If you can only go with what you've seen at the AMEX then fair enough but this season we've played some cracking football. Our manager did adopt different tactics against the better teams as he found out that we were far too open at the start of the season e.g losing 3-1 to both Middlesbrough and Burnley. Utimately it's served us well because it got us to where we need to be.

The record in the all seater must be close to the 39800 capacity. Against Wycombe in 2012 we got 38,062 for example. Can't see more than 34,000 on Friday due to the segregation requirements.

So do you think he'll be more expansive in the two games?

It's really hard to tell, this season would indicate not but when we've needed to do it in big games recently we've been very positive. E.g Derby away (although we did draw 1-1) and the 3-0 win against Cardiff. I think what he will realise is that the home leg can be a big advantage to us if we don't just shut up shop and go for the draw. If we don't have a lead going to the AMEX then you will have the advantage. Practically all of the squad is rested, fit and ready which is a bonus.

How do you see Hughton approaching it from your perspective, what has this season taught you that he will do in games like this?

I think he'll want to be keep it tight, as I think he is cautious by nature. 4-5-1 wouldn't surprise me, but a lot depends on whether Stephens is available.

The thing that worries me is that you appeared quite physical and direct, which I think could be our undoing.

Second leg, will be score dependant, but I don't envisage us going for it until the second half.

Regardless of our approach both teams will get chances it's whether we can finish ours.
