FDM is a veteran goalie and knows the full implications.

You stick to selling programmes and let the people who know, manage the team.

Michel Kuipers, one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Everynow and then he has a bad game (wow, he's human!), but he is absolutely a goalkeeping God and he will be with us for as long as it takes John Sullivan to overtake him, so still a couple of years away.

Yes Michel is a legend, yes he has good games, but he also has his fair share of bad ones. Just because he wears his heart on his sleeve and loves the Albion, doesn't mean we can't discuss playing other keepers instead of him.

As a defender you want to play with a keeper who commands his box - especially when we are up against it.

Also, with no pace in central defence we need a keeper quick off his line.

Sullivan comes out tops in both.

Kuipers. OK, there's a certain built-in flakiness to contend with, as with most keepers, but the natural athleticism of his instinctive full-length saves are second to none.

He's let in a lot less goals than the pretenders to his throne, Kuipers for me.

Yes,it's been done to death.Should we keep one of the best keepers we've had for years,or put in a keeper who lets in netfulls.

Erm......................

I think it's worth pointing out kuipers had a dodgy game v swindon, then we beat colchester with a good defensive performance. Kuipers tends to come storming back after a poor performance, I'm not sure sullivan has the experience and/or capability to do that yet,

Absolutely! It's great to have a good keeper, and a young lad coming up through the reserves who has ably deputised for a few matches and will in the next season or two take Kuipers' place on merit.
GK is one position we don't need to splash the cash on!

what the f*** happened for their goal today? apart from the fact that that ball should NEVER have got into the box obviously, it just seemed to go straight through him

Apart from the obvious wicked spin on the ball, it took a massive deflection on its way through. He did well just to get anything on it.

it looked like he had SAT on it, yet somehow the ball had FLOWN up into the air. although this view may have been down to my lack of glasses

I don't think Kuipers has been in good form over a full 90 mins recently but he is part of a winning team so he should stay in.

Just far enough away from LDC

Not strictly the case - defenders want a keeper who will be consistent and let them know what he will be doing. Sullivan will be a good keeper but he does lack consistency - sometimes he come for a ball outside the 6 yard box and others he wont.
