If the teams finish on level points, Sussex are champions.

...is correct...

From the ECB website -

Law 38.1.8

Should any sides in
the Championship table be equal on points, the
following tie-breakers will be applied in the order
stated: most wins, fewest losses, team achieving most
points in contests between teams level on points, most
wickets taken, most runs scored.

As it stands, we have 8 wins, they have 6.

The forecast for Wednesday (according to the BBC), for both Nottingham AND Southampton, is HEAVY RAIN...

So any kind of win for us would deliver the second championship in our history, and the second in 3 years.

If Lancs draw with max points 3+4+4=11 we would need just 4 to regain the title! So as long as we bowled Notts out inside 130 overs, and scored at least 200 runs, we could lose and still win it !

Incredible stuff

In fact the forecast for both place is ok on Wednesday, perhaps a shower on Thursday, heavy rain all of Friday and rain early morning on Saturday - so plenty on scope for both matches to complete.

Max bonus points is 8... 5 batting and 3 bowling.
