The radio must have interference its saying 16 for 3
I hope so. In any case, we mustn't let them get more than about 60 in this first innings.Never mind, the rain will save us later.

Are we using a potato field for a wicket ?
complete newbie to cricket, how long does your average championship match last for. If i were to watch it at the county ground, how long would the ticket permit.
would love to try something new and support sussex in another way.

Take a long look at how this thread develops over the next few days before finally committing yourself to joining the NSC Cricket Flids for the summer. For most of us it's a relaxing diversion from the winter trauma that is BHA although the decision of Sussex CCC last year to adopt the Greene King antichrist at Hove did result in a degree of stress for many due to the removal of Harveys.
Some additional pointers to help you assimilate:
1) Our senior players, particularly batsmen, are always totally crap during April and much of May - you will have seen that in the game vs Surrey last week.
2) I'm not sure we have any bowling this season (apart from Monty Panasar that is).
3) Our former Pakistani leg spinner, Mustaq Ahmed (Mushy), is everyone's hero on here; never, ever post anything negative about him.
4) Chris Nash is always likely to get out early - be prepared.
5) Joe Gatting is one of the better young players at Sussex, the fact that he used to "play" for the Albion (and was poor) has been a problem for us all. Still, at least he's not Chris McPhee.
6) The BBC Radio Sussex Cricket Commentary is a must - just listen to the nonsense and you'll pick up what we're all wittering on about.
Enjoy the summer.
