2 goals in his last 101 appearances
He's taken Propper's place perfectly.
And the great thing is, as ever, Albion are thinking ahead.
Jakub Moder is already looking well set to step into Albion's vital "midfielder who can't score for toffee" role.

Nice. I'm going to google the Wedged family to read up on your football history !I never made decent level myself, but I had really detailed conversations with my Dad, who was full professional in Div 3 South back in the 50s, and my brother, who was semi pro for the LA Aztecs feeder team back in 1982. They both played centre forward, they would talk for hours about positional instinct, using body posture and positioning to shield and/or get in front, and about execution at moments of truth etc
What Maupay did last night was an example of ALL of that, intelligence, instinct, positioning, shielding, physical strength, decision making, execution, all absolutely perfect, and true top pro standard. That’s probably our goal of the season. Technically it was more difficult than Alireza’s overhead against Chelsea.
Again another player who contributes a lot to how well we play. How about some praise.

Kayal > Propper > Lallana > Moder. Seamless.

His finishing is shocking! Great player but he used to bang them away for Liverpool and Southampton. I seem to remember him scoring against us once. I don't know what we do to our midfielders to beat their shooting ability out of them.
All this is true of a pub player on a sunday morning though.
Sorry, Lallana should be doing loads better than he is
Some balance here. I think you mean that Lallana should be doing better at scoring. In other aspects he has been absolutely brilliant and I love him! Agree?

To be fair you need weapons grade binoculars, and a time machine, to find any prolific BHA goal scorer or sharp shooter.
Lallana is particularly excellent at passing it just wide of the post/over the bar. makes Trossard look like Mo Salah
I'm quite surprised this thread wasn't bounced following the Burnley game... another great chance spurned, but with his head this time.
