Yep…also it means he’s technically out for about 3 weeks, with no game after 17/9 until October.

Exactly. Lallana played more minutes than Webster last season.

From my understanding he has an option for another year as a player and I could see him maybe going for that. Think he still has a lot to offer on the pitch - it is not always exactly clear what he is doing, but pretty much any time he's on the pitch, the entire team looks more fluid.

It's his voice on the pitch that's almost as influential as his playing contribution. He's got real nous, rattles opponents and rallies the team. It's like having a second captain

Thought he played really well and his position between the lines perfectly on Saturday. He linked play for us brilliantly almost in a false 9/10 role. Look at the first time pass he played that led to our first goal, that is world class.

Only saw that watching the highlights, didn’t catch it in “real time” a long way away. It’s these touches which can win us a game.
