It will take a massive effort to get himself back now and he might look at the long term and decide he's better off calling it a day.

My memory tells me his contract is up in the summer?

How soon is now?
All depends on the injury, of course. It’s been reported as muscular, which is odd to see him in a brace and on crutches. Hopefully he’s had surgery and hopefully it clears up the problem, but at 34 with quite an injury history he’s no doubt got some hard work ahead of him. Shame….

think our priority this summer has to be 'another lallana'. obviously easier said than done, but if you look at all our performances where we've been crap of just frustrating, you'll often see that it's when he's injured. unless one of the u23s can step in, but I think half the benefit of lallana is his experience

Must mean a complete rupture of something rather than the usual tear. So sad, he’s fantastic and we miss him when he’s not availabl. Hope he fully recovers and gets back to it, but if he decides to call it a day I really hope RdeZ finds a place for him in his setup.

I’d love to know when the injury happen- was it in his last match on the pitch or in training? Gutted if he’s out the rest of the season

I hope RDZ finds room for him too . . . provided Adam wants to move into coaching, and wishes to stay at the club too. All ifs and buts until we know the extent of the injury though.

…think he joined us with a view to a coaching role longer term. Certainly seems to front and centre of a lot of club media stuff and a ‘teachers pet’ of RdeZ.

Will be a huge miss, we lack leaders as we saw on the pitch today so he will need replacing
