A Labour Party which takes the good bits of New Labour and builds on them will be. Which is why I voted for Ed M.
I think it's fairly clear the nation does not have the stomach for the right wing politics of Cameron and smug George. If it did, it would have voted Cameron in with a majority.
That's slightly misleading because as you might be aware, London, for example, is a lot more populous than say Cumbria.Once the tories sort out the unfair voting system they will clearly be a majotity. Have a look at this map and tell me different
Your previous map was for the general election, not local elections.London map..
A very clear illustration of how the UK is a deeply divided country. North / South. East / West. However you look at it.Here's a more representative version of the original you posted:
But I agree that the current voting system is unfair.

That'll be the David Milliband who only got into University because his parents pulled all the strings they could. He's not too bright, you know.
He got a first-class degree from Oxford and a masters from MIT (and as Rex Cathedra will tell you, MIT has very rigorous standards), so I don't know where this particular myth has come from.
3 B's and a D at A level will get mere mortals laughed out of the building when applying to Oxbridge. Fortunately mummy and daddy knew people.

Bit off-topic now but you really don't know what you're talking about.
The ex-Mrs Gwylan - the lawyer - went to Oxford after scoring 2 Bs and a D in her A levels. She wasn't aristocratic nor had academics as parents, it's just Oxbridge admissions are a law unto themselves and try to pick winners. As she went on to get a first, a masters and came 2nd out of several hundred in that year's Bar exams, it seems that, like with David Miliband, Oxford got it right.
