Anyone seen the new Al Jazeera documentary (3 parts) on the huge leak of Labour's internal files? Has some shocking revelations. The first episode includes sections on Brighton/Hove.

The second, shows how the Labour left were/are being targeted and smeared with various claims - mainly anti-semitism in order to remove or suspend them from the party. Under Starmer this includes over 50 leftwing Jews.

Also how the Labour right and supporters of Israel tried to undermine Corbyn with false stories with which the media gladly ran and ran with. 23% of complaints on AS came from one man! He was not Jewish but wrote the emails using a Jewish name as pseudonym.

What I find most disturbing other than the Labour Party being corrupt and mendacious actively sabotaged their own chances but that this documentary has so far from what I can see no coverage amongst the main newspapers etc.

If anyone is are under illusion that we have a balanced, free and fair press this demonstrates this is in no way the case. Also shows how the Labour right, Tories and Israel supporters weaponised AS in the most disgusting way. A sickening and disgraceful episode in British Politics.

The same with the Democrats in the USA and to the extent the same in right of center parties in the whole western world.. With online news calling this behaviour out being smeared as far right even Russel Brand, usually starts on wikipedia which then gets linked on Google. I remember a time when people disagreed about everything and that was OK, now its like you have to take the official position on every issue.

Someone I knew when I was at School and College is quite prominently featured. While I'm at complete loggerheads with his political views, he clearly has his issues and people from the right have exploited him for their gain. He can be incredibly vile online and has I BELIEVE been banned from the Labour party, he clearly is a very damaged and possibly vulnerable person. A sorry story really. It doesn't surprise me he fell down that rabbit hole.

Most people are afraid of this kind of information and will blindly reject it, as accepting it would cause a paradigm shift in their beliefs over multiple areas - which isn't pleasant.
People don't want it and will cognitively resort into denial.

May I ask how you stumbled across these documentaries? I'm not a regular Al Jazeera watcher.

A journalist for Novara media (a small outlet) highlighted it - one of the few outlets to mention it. The fact its not out there on every major outlet should be shocking but shows the British press is a monolith that has a clear agenda.

Democracy is/was subverted before our eyes and it doesnt seem worth a mention (as yet)

It's being shown on Al Jazeera. Whilst it is great to hear the truth, the deed is done and the chances of a government dedicated to the needs of the most vulnerable in society and funding the welfare state, as well as showing genuine concern for the environment etc was taken off the agenda. Britain's richest continue to take more and more of the nation's wealth and our public services are carved up. It also guaranteed a toothless opposition that now has a chance of winning solely because the Tories have gone off the scale for extreme greed. It makes me very sad and now it's up to the trade union movement to fight for any justice.

What if there's information - as there clearly is - that at least somewhat contradicts and casts doubt over the neutrality of the source you linked to?

It wont derail anything because media won't write about it and if the media doesn't put in it in the spotlight, it doesn't exist outside of the small groups of people who search for information outside big media corporations.

For someone who is allegedly "all about evidence", you seem to have a certain fetisch for disregarding information and evidence if they once shook hand with someone you don't like or uttered an opinion about something you don't agree with.

I'm just a Gentile who loathes racism and that very much includes antisemitism. They've faced pograms for a 1,000 years, based variously on; they look different, they helped kill Jesus, they're successful in the arts and business, they secretly caused expansionist Germany to lose WWI.

In the Corbyn era I looked at actual antisemitism from the left in the UK. It was easy to find and fkn unpleasant. Cartoons and lies that Goebbels would've been proud of, then tons of thumbs ups from UK Hard Left loons. It wasn't objectively talking about Gaza and the West Bank. Instead tropes about UK jewry.

Remember that the family who own the Albion are practising jews, harmless law-abiding Brits who like anyone do not deserve racism.

Yes there are some UK jews who massively support Corbyn. Ironically given the hate towards them, many jews have a 150 year old tradition of wanting social justice, they make up some of the key socialists and communists in world history. One of those Jewish Corbyn supporters was a frequent guest on BBC2 Newsnight during the claims against Labour - she 100% denied absolutely every claim. Putting Momentum and her beliefs, before proven harassment of jews.
