Kuipers OUT for Tuesday

Albion chief Dean Wilkins saluted the bravery of Michel Kuipers as his side came from behind to topple ten-man Forest.

Kuipers suffered a groin injury early on but the Seagull's No. 1 refused to come off and went on to make several key saves.

Wilkins said: "I didn't even want to look at him because I did not want him to say to me I have got to come off'.

"I was blanking him really and just checking with Malcolm (physio Malcolm Stuart) that he was all right.

"Firstly Michel couldn't kick the ball. If he had then said he was struggling to move around then obviously we would have taken him off but, to Michel's credit, he did not do that. He stayed on the pitch and pulled off some crucial saves."

Albion will now step up their hunt for a goalkeeper, as Kuipers is almost certain to miss Tuesday's trip to Gillingham.

I say give Sullivan a go on Tuesday. We have relatively little to play for, so if Michel is going to be back next week then it's worth giving him experience for one game only. Please don't let us sign another experienced goalkeeper, meaning all the tedious arguments crop up again, and we waste yet more money on two goalkeepers when we can only play one!

Oh I don't know, give Sullivan a run out, give the boy the chance to play a blinder, and then watch the disciples of the First Church Of Kuipers start another argument Wednesday morning over who should play against Bristol City

;) :lolol:

We were right behind the goal today and I was already resigned to the fact that Forest had equalised and then all of a sudden Kuipers appeared from nowhere and pushed the ball away, and then within seconds he made another great save. He earnt us 2 points today as he has done numerous times over the years. All the more incredible if he was injured as well.

Give Sullivan a try on Tuesday, however are you ever going to find out if he any good if you never give him a chance.

Don't even think of Blaney. Donny got shot as soon as they could because he was out for months with a cut arm and appeared in no hurry to comeback. His form was shite and he managed to get himself done for drinking and driving.

Wasn't it against Forest that he did his shoulder, and had to come off?
