only funny if pissed - sit right at the front because the comedians leave those alone and you get a better view.

heheh ;-)

The late show does occasionally attract the drunk hecklers (let's face it, they've had more time to get lairy). Can be annoying, but in skillful hands (and Mr Grant is one of the best at this) it can be most amusing to see them shot down.

It'll be a good show, it nearly always is. I love it in there.

... sorry, I should expand on that! Anyway, yeah, this is my night (and effectively my main job) so obviously I'm going to say come down. I'd actually recommend the 7pm show over the 8pm show but both are good. Let us know what you thought if you go. S

Top show last night Steve, the only trouble is I'm going to be disappointed if there aren't seven acts next time I go to Kratar.

Went a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Without coming across as an arse-licker (which is a bit like saying 'I'm not a racist/sexist/homophobe BUT . . . ') I thought Stephen Grant was the funniest thing on it (although there was a bloke called Tom Toll who was good - hint: say your name 50 times during your act and people will remember it).

I have an in-built discomfort factor with live comedy because I hate to see performers die on stage. I hate people who then decide to give them grief even more.

Sorry - didn't mean that to turn into a heartfelt psycho-analytical study of the mind of a comedian. In answer to your question: I would go. It's a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

The worst part of it? The comedians were running a sweepstake... we all put a tenner in, the winner being the one who got the £250K. Hence I won - but I had to feign disappointment because the charity had lost 1/4 £million... even though I was thinking "YES!!! GET IN!!!"
