Yes Kony is a murdering psychopath. But he hasn't actually been seen for 6 years, and the number of followers he has within Uganda are probably in the hundreds rather than the thousands. The whole Kony 2012 video distorted facts massively.

If the Government want to poke their nose into anybodies business (which they are itching to do) then go and deal with Bashar Al-Assad who is still leading Syria and is vicious and blood thirsty.

The cycle of fame is moving a lot faster these days he achieved notoriety about his cause, had it pulled apart for supporting another oppressive regime and then went mental in the space of 3 months. I get the impression he let his ego get the better of him and he really believed he was some modern day messiah.

Really didn't like the way he used his kid in the Kony 2012 video by trying to say look my 3 year old son can understand whats going on, so if you can't you must be stupid.

Campaigns like this are ineffective unless they are targeting Government. Having 80 million people watching the video and claiming we need to get Kony will only get you so far, ergo public pressure would generally result in Government action if they deemed it necessary. NATO wouldn't do anything because they are completely useless, and believe that talking is the way forward. I was also trying to make the point that there are more important issues out there, such as Bashar Al-Assad (although I don't necessarily agree any country should get involved in another countries problems.)

Point still stands though. Kony has not been seen for around 6 years and is not a major threat to Uganda at the moment.
