Bought a fire stick with Kodi installed for the kids for Xmas. Comes with some add ons installed but not tried it out yet. Would also be untested to hear how to get Bien sports.

Not sure if you are aware but there is often porn installed too on the sticks, so might be worth vetting first before letting them use it.

My mates have the fire sticks and they seem pretty good.

Watched my first game on Kodi and it was great, normally watch through the net and it used to freeze and buffer, the Kodi stream was fast good quality and English.

Thanks one and all.

OK Kodi experts

I can stream movies from my Laptop to my Samsung Smart TV using allshare ( a samsung programme) but I cant Mirror my Laptop to watch Kodi or anything else.
With an HDMI cable its ok but I want wireless .
Any ideas? The laptop will not find the TV but the TV shows in my devices!!
Its an HP laptop running windows 7 ( I think it might need Windows 8 as a minimum?)

Any experts thank u please.....

I'm not entirely sure and I may be wrong but I think you need something like a Google chromecast USB stick that plugs into the TV. I'm running kodi through to the TV via hdmi like you at the moment. I have a WDTV android box that I've never got working properly so am gonna have a go at jailbreaking it and using it exclusively for Kodi,

If anyone knows if this is a viable thing to do then let me know!

Like others, this thread contains a world that's new to me, but I get the gist of it.

My question is - what are the costs? Up front and on-going?

£50 gets you the box and a decent keyboard which is handy. Configuring it is the real cost (for me anyway) There appear to be numerous different ways and I've just discovered updates aren't automatic and struggling to manually do it. Quality is inconsistent and I've lost all the sport and can't get it back.

If you're patient and moderately savvy a decent buy IMO

£25 gets you the box.

You can just delete your sports repository and reinstall, there is no reason why it should still not work. What sports were you using? Sportdevil? Or another. If you want help to get it working again either tell me here or pm me. Once you get used to the box it really is easy, as the hard work is all done by others

May take you up on that! I tried to update SALTS as suggested but no luck. I think part of the problem (not sitting in front of TV so may have it wrong) are the different repositories that are suggested, but need to try again. I did finally uninstall and reinstall assuming that would give me latest but no better.

I did upgrade to KODI Isengard (?) which has a different look to it and the menu isn't quite the same as in many of the examples that I find of " how to" on You Tube. Ironically I'm only looking to have SALTS, Phoenix, Sports Devil and UK Turks ... will sit in front of Tele later and try again

What you need to do is have a fresh install ie. factory state Kodi and then google the king wizzard build. That will pre load all channels and addons you need. Joe nobody 010101 on you tube is a good source of how to load these wizards builds etc

Albion and Premier League latest from Sky Sports
