If they want to see the best of Knockaert, they should hire CH when they sack Scott Parker.

He looked awful today. And he was playing against the second string of a Championship team. Maybe he just had an off day, but I can see why the fans might think that he was not worth the 10 million figure...

Hes been worth every penny and already paid it back, being a large part of the reason they came up.

Fulham fans are stupid if they cant see that. If he isnt for them anymore, then move him on, they will get a large chunk of that 10 million back im sure.

I will always love AK.

Not sure. I think Fulham fans were pretty underwhelmed with him last season as well.

I thought the general view from their fans was that he had been a total disappointment.

Now, there's a thought. It might just happen.

Can't see it myself because that is EXACTLY what Fulham should do.

Which is why Richard Osman has more chance getting the job.

I rather think if the deal with Fulham had been a loan with an option to buy rather than an obligation to buy, he'd be back with us now.

Unfortunately the love ran out with his stupid red cards in the PL.

Very good player but not cut out for the premiership.

I doubt it, but he would definitely not be at Fulham either. Probably the obligation to buy was connected to them getting promoted as they thought "well, if we go up its probably partly because of his brilliance". Clever from Tony, not so clever from them.

He didnt fail with us at all did he, thats harsh imho. Was also asked to defend a lot under Hughton and always did so.

Selfish a bit for sure, but was and still is good enough imho. He's at the wrong club who dont know how to play to his strengths.

AK needs to feel loved and he was massively here and isn't there.

If Hughton came back in at this level, I reckon he'd still get tune out of Knocky. I miss the petulant little so and so. Box office.

Do you mean Hughton or Knocky?

The only chance Fulham have of staying up is to bin Parker and get CH. I think Knocky might offer to drive him there too

FFS people - let it go. He's gone and he won't be coming back. We don't need yet another thread each week. Enough - please.

We still talk about Kit Napier so you're never going to stop threads about previous players. The thread title is very clear so don't open it.

His next club will be in the Championship where he will thrive and get another promotion!

AK is a bit of an enigma good enough to be promoted to the prem three times wth diffrent clubs good enough to be picked as Championship player of the season and picked by fellow professionals to be in the Championship team of the season on two occasions yet appears to struggle at the next level while others who have not achieved his levels in the championship flourish in the prem.

I watched the Brentford v Fulham game this week and it appeared to me AK was really isolated on what looked a narrow pitch but time again AK was a good option but players around him chose not to pass him the ball, Fulhams big centre forward was absolutely useless would not pass to anyone which didn't help, I really thought Fulham was a good fit for AK but on that performance and his lack of general game time I am starting to have second thoughts and at 28 he really should be in his prime it's not as if he's been an injury prone player, it's all very odd an enigma indeed

A bit like Teemu Pukki - tore the Championship ablaze, started well in the PL and then tapered off and by the end was a benchwarmer for Norwich when they were relegated.

I loved Knocky. I think people forget that he played a big part in the team effort for our survival in the first year in the PL, plus he had standout moments in the second campaign (single-handedly almost clawing a point back at home against Spurs, Palace away and the FA Cup semi-final, where he again was box office). For me, it looked like he lost his confidence to beat players and to also take a shot. How many times did he shoot and score from outside the box in the Championship, and how little did we see him even try to do that in the PL? At times our whole team were scared to shoot from outside the box in 2018/19. I don't think his change in body shape helped either.

Absolute legend. I hope I'm not doing him a disservice but I almost feel like he should drop down to an Ipswich or Pompey. Not because he can't cut it in the PL/Championship, but because he would be the absolute standout star in those squads, and I do think the man needs to be adored to get the best out of him.

Agree - also think it suits Jahanbakhsh to be a standout in a poorer league than in the top leagues.
