PS: incoming transfers - at this time last season we still had Montoya, Ali J, and Dan Burn incoming. With Bissouma having just joined.

You're supposed to be cheering up posters.

Disappointing. Entertaining player, the sort you pay money to watch.

Good luck to him.

This. Our most popular player, and also one of our best. Not going to be given the opportunity to play under a more attacking system. It really is pretty inexplicable. Gutted.

If this is partly due to Potter, then he knows that this maybe unpopular with the fans. If he doesn't get off to a good start, the crowd may turn more quickly than otherwise maybe the case.

He made some rash challenges and shows a side of ill discipline that the others don't seem to have. He was also our most dynamic and flair player but not the team player we needed with plenty of poor decisions in the final 3rd. Any of our squad are replaceable and with Trossard we may already have his replacement, we just need to see a couple more signings quickly

Transfer yes, loan no. Mystified. If they don’t want him after a year do we get him back irrespective of his form? I hope the amount received from Fulham as part of this deal was worth it.

Does anyone really think we would let him go for no reason other than his inconsistent performances? It must also be that either Potter see him as a disruptive influence or that he has a 'match highest earner' clause which may have been triggered by an incoming signing. Or maybe he was desperate to leave? It's clearly not as black and white as some are making out.

We’ve got no one,
Absolute no one,
I just don’t think you understand,
We’re a salmon without the dill,
We won’t spend a mill,
We’ve got absolute no one.

Do not understand this why season long loan I guess we cannot recall him and
Although he will be off the wage bill we don’t get any of our initial outlay back and it will not free up any places within the team

It will be fine. Ali J and Locadia will be ripping defences apart, March will have have one good game in five instead of one in ten, and Izzy will be injury-free all season and not quite as awful as he was last year.

Do you think Tony Bloom is that stupid? Obviously a loan with agreement to buy at the end of next season

Not often I’ll react and criticise before knowing facts and seeing who we get in but this is a shit decision without doubt. Stupid move. So is it definitely Fulham’s decision if they buy at the end of the season? Why didn’t we just do a loan and see where we are and how he does in the season?! Mental.

Love it how fans assume the club don't know what they are doing? Tony Bloom has been spending a fortune bringing in some of the best but they don't know what they are doing?

Tom Barclay is reporting that it is a 1 year loan with option to buy for £10m at end of 12 months.
If Fulham don't take up the option then its a £4m loan fee for the season.

There is more to this than just a loan. There is a reason, either AK threw his toys out cot or we have 1 or 2 or 3 others to bring in we need to free up some cash. Whilst AK is an enigmatic player he blows hot and cold drifting in and out of games. We need a steadier performer. If he isnt replaced then this is a massive error. If he is replaced then its the right decision. Time will tell but until then its all guess work.
