McGhee keeps saying we can't attract players with our facilities etc etc etc
Surely footballers are a fickle bunch , there must be plenty who would gladly be taking the wages we used to pay Knight (4k a week from now till the end of the season is 60k) , the chance of benefiting their careers + play first team football.
60k to keep us up is naff all.
The players must be out there

Our situation is that proven players see us as bottom of the food chain in the championship. When the deals at other clubs don't materialise they might head our way. This means deals are more likely at the end of the window when we can sift the scraps and leftovers. That's the reality and it's down to the clubs package of Withdean, a relegation scrap and average wages.

The question is will Dick Knight let McGhee spend the "spare" 4k a week or will he just take it back out of the playing budget?

surely this is a no brainer ?

granted most of our other incomes seem to of been taken for the non playing side to survive but not the wages of our previous main striker.

Thats just asking for League 1 football isn't it ?

I don't think that is necessarily the case. We need the right signing for £4k a week. Journeymen may be looking for that sort of wage and make no difference to our squad.
Pointless signing another Leon Knight who was ineffective at this level. Our financial position is precarious!

The question is are players worth 4k a week going to have better offers? Probably.
