Yes he should there is a lot more to leons game tham scoring he creates most of our chances when he is on the pitch and his pace troubles defenders

We also win games (West Ham & Gillingham- off the top of my head) and play well against Wolves before he came on.

Berks, I don't think Leon would stay if McGhee left.

to be honest defoe would struggle to score in this side as there is no creative players in the side

So Knight doesn't create chances then, and he can't score at this level, Mark McGhee doesn't play him much and we are offering him an improved contract?. I seeeeeeee

Only joshing. I can't judge as I haven't been to any games but I get a feeling he isn't the most important cog in our wheel

we play well in west ham game? sorry i seem to recall it being all west ham.

we created nothing at millwall with outh leon on pitch the same with ipswich
by the time he came on we were behind both games
we looked better with leon on the pitch in the wolves game and looked like we could win it

That's only because he is now putting in some work-rate, which I have questioned for much of the season. Yes, he has not particularly had the service, but he hasn't worked hard enough to get it, now he is.

And BTW, we would get a fee for him if he is under 24. We tried to sign Steven Hunt from Brentford under the same terms when he was 22, and he had only been at Brentford 2 years, but they were still able to command a fee....

If he wants to go he needs to prove he can do what he is paid to do (and very well paid I don't doubt) and that is something he has struggled to do at this level - SCORE GOALS.

On his recent form he will be a mug to turn down a new contract with the Albion, I like Leon and hope he stays, but he is still unproven in this division after 1 and 1/2 seasons and I don't see a queue forming for him.

Yep. All true. Remember he was left on the bench at Swindon last year and came on and we looked better.

In fact, hasn't Leon been suspended for our last 2 Boxing Day figures and started from the bench the following game!

Let's be honest - if West Ham had had a competent striker playing, we would have been 4-0 down by h/t, and Gillingham was just plain awful. Once again, when Leon came on against Wolves, we improved greatly.

What Leon hasn't contributed in goals this season, he has given in performances and creativity - he is not the only goslscorer in the team, yet carries the burden for this in the eyes of many on here.
