According to the argus today Leon Knight is being offered a new and improved contract. His agent is away at the moment but they will be having talks next week.
Lets hope he signs

That means he'll be off tomorrow then ala Currie & Cullip... This is exactly the same way they went, just after allegedly being offered contracts.

Can't see that we will be getter offers for Leon in this division, as he's not really delivered the goods on a regular basis, and I would be surprised if he wanted to step back down a division.

Once he becomes a free agent in the summer it will be a different story of course.

Can't see him signing for longer though, unless he feels he is going to get a run in the side.

its not the same as Currie & Dc they were only offered contracts when the 2 clubs had actually expressed a firm interest in the players...On this occasion i think the club are being pro-active rather then re-active....

The club said that all the players who are out of contract in the summer would be offered contracts , or not as the case may be, before Jan 1st. McGhee is being offered a new contract too and that is far more important than Leon IMO.

We would still get a fee for Leon if he left when his contract expires as he is only 22....i think that he will sign a new deal with maybe a release clause....i think McGhee and Hinch are the priority

no we would its only players you brought through the ranks(i think)

I thought it was all youth players. Bearing mind there is a sale on clause so Chelski would get a slice of any fee we got for him.

Should he be offered an improved contract?, I haven't seen him at all this year but wouldn't his substantial wages get someone in who is proven to be able to score in the championship?

Just a question like

Errrrrrrr since when does any real money we recieve ever go towards decent players, the money always gets swallowed up,and we end up with useless strikers.???

Well if he was actually being played I might agree but I take your point.

So we still need a goalscorer then
