I always, always said it was a mistake for him to go there: he's far too nice a guy for that job, which consists every bit as much of tolerating the gobby elder statesmen that hang around the club passing noisy comment to the press on how you're getting on (Beckenbauer, Rummenigge, Hoeness, Sepp Maier etc etc) as getting results on the pitch.
He'd have been better off going to a middling BL club, like Leverkusen or Schalke or someone, rather than straight into that nightmare.
