I thought it classy when Kirkland was going to pick the ball up after it had gone out of play, then Bruno comes flying in, beating him to it, picks it up, then runs back to the edge of the box and sets it down for Kirkland, then meets his gaze and tells him to hurry up. Made me chuckle.
He definitely acted the dickhead through the game.

Kirkland should have been stabbed through the heart with a rusty screwdriver then publicly dragged around Brighton and stoned to death !!!
Is that going to far ????

Yes it is

You don't need to go round the whole of Brighton

But then managed to waste a bit more time by moving the ball over to the other side of the box !!
The other incident that made me chuckle was the incident involving Llera and Buckley ... Llera as a result of the incident ended up in a heap off the pitch ... another Wednesday defender then flagged their trainer over to tend to Llera only to be stopped by another Wednesday player trying to roll him back on the pitch to waste a bit more time !!

Grown men shouldn't act like that.

Does anyone see the irony in this post?

I'm not a huge fan of Kirkland, but he's done a good job of impersonating a keeper for a few years now.

I thought he was better than most keepers to be honest. In fact, I thought Wednesday didn't time-waste anywhere near as much as other teams have. And there was a nice touch when KLL went down with cramp & their full-back stretched him out.

No complaints from me

One of Kirkland's goal kicks was timed at 22 seconds to complete which seems an extra-ordinary length of time ....

If Kuszczak , Ankergren or Brezovan took the same time to take a goal kick it would be perfectly acceptable though.

I didn't think that he was time-wasting any more than any other 'keeper I've seen - even our own.

The one thing that I wish the authorities would do is re-write the rule about goal kicks being taken from the same side as the ball went out of play on. It always used to be the case - can't understand why it was changed as it has always played into the hands of the time-wasting 'keeper.

I don't see why referees can't just give time wasters one warning then book them instead of just letting them get away with it the whole match. Their three substituted players took the piss when they walked off and the ref did nothing.

The most curious thing..
So who punched him and why?

Who punched him I missed that.

He was punched literally a year ago.

Luke93 is expressing his delight that Chris Kirkland was punched 12 months before he made a scene in a football match.

It's a completely logical conclusion.

The other day my girlfriend served me a curry which wasn't QUITE hot enough. I told her I was happy she stumped her toe in June 2008.

That was a joke, Buckley was through on goal as well.

I'm getting a lot of unfair stick for this thread (and a boot load of PMs). I'm posting about his reaction towards the ref for being (rightly) booked, which resulted in him swearing loudly near the family stand. That is what I'm on about sorry if I came across a little abrupt, I'm not like that lol (very tired last night)!

I've read your thread thoroughly, still don't see the point.....so, we're in bottom 3 or thereabouts, one up away from home and our keeper gets booked for time-wasting.......vent your anger/disappointment at our players who were totally inept last night ?

10 and 13. Should be pretty clear I think :)

Fair play mate. Sorry if sounded like a dick. I too was tired and frustrated with the performance.

Onwards and upwards we will go.
