I'm not going to discuss the reasons, except possibly in private with KinkyGoebels. Apart from anything else, he can't respond - and I don't want to create a situation which encourages a futile public dispute to break out if and when he returns to NSC.

All I will say is that his Liz Costa comments played no part in any decision to ban him. Incidentally, I wasn't angry with him over that, merely trying to correct factual inaccuracies.

Fair enough Lord B. I did think you were angry about the Costa stuff as that's the most animated I've seen you since I've been on here as usually you don't get too involved in the more heated stuff......unlike some of us

There's a few lines of reason that NSC and its' users have to draw in the virtual sand.
When posts get raunchy but with reason or debate on the table it's one thing.
Swearing is tolerated, which is probably better than being like aol and doing 'Terms Of Service' on people all the time - plus swearing has become part of language to some extent.

However, explicit and deliberate obscene statements spewing forth because someone is having a dodgy brainstorm is surely out of order .

The mods have to have boundaries to moderate over, otherwise we'll be accepting nazis, racists, preachers (!), and everything else in our faces, turning NSC into an online text sewer.

A measured and short ban seems fair enough, and I hope I'd be dealt with the same way in similar circumstances.

Bravo mods, and keep watching that looney as well (I also enjoy his paranoid slobberings over your moddy two-tone brogues).
