I'll be watching it in Shoreham. I'd just end up getting too wound up if I was in a pub watching it with those pathetic embarrassing GOONS, all jumping around pretending to give a fvck when their adopted team cracks another one in against their local one.

I think what really gets my goat is that these guys are basically products of Bill Archer. That lost generation who as Sussex schoolboys couldn't even consider being Brighton fans lest they be derided for supporting a team at the arse end of the entire football league. Took the easy way out, bought Liverpool shirts(or whatever team) and spent too many years thinking that buying a shirt and watching the team on TV 300 miles away from where the game is being held = "support".

Worst kind of fans there are. I'd have a pint with a salt of the earth proper Palace fan rather than this lot any day of the week.

This is the "Brighton Kop" that [MENTION=249]edna krabappel[/MENTION] is referring to. Personally I think its one of the most tragic, cringeworthy, embarrassing things in football I have ever seen. If this bunch of Sky Sports brainwashed plastic red mingmongs are packing out the King and Queen again on Sunday, in their JJB shirts with their FAKE fandom for a team thats 300-odd miles away who they never turn up to watch, then I hope there's a sizable contingent of stripes down there bellowing "WE SUPPORT OUR LOCAL TEAM" right in their FACES all afternoon. Making some of them leave.

Agree with this, went to the pub in Huddersfield where I’m at uni with some town fans and a Geordie while the champions league semi final was on. A grown man was CRYING and I had a pint thrown over me when they scored their second. Not as far as Brighton but it just made me cringe all these supporters in a town with its own premier league football club. Ended up getting in an argument with a few plastic kopites celebrating the Roma consolation goals like Brighton had won the league. Huddersfield May annoy me from time to time, but I would rather sit and talk with the town fans than these absolute mugs.

I love the King and Queen as a pub to go to to watch the football. Big, lots of screens, good atmosphere. But I've only ever gone to watch the Albion, and a couple of other games as a neutral. I've never been when Liverpool have been playing, so can't comment. This "Brighton Kop" thing all sounds a bit weird. Reminds be a bit of those grinning, flag waving, plastic Union Jack hat wearing goons who will all be getting over excited about the Royal Wedding next Saturday, which involves people they have no connection with and know nothing about. Lots of parallels to be drawn. But if it makes people happy, then why not? I'm looking forward to reports back from the K&Q on Sunday. Should be interesting.

Having read the comments on here I thought I better see how bad it was. Lasted 30 seconds before I had to switch it off. "I'm like a caged tiger!" was cringe worthy enough then when the Michael Stipe lookalike said "Yeah, its a big part of my life" that was enough for me. If going to the pub to watch a game on telly is a big part of your life or turns you into a caged tiger then your life is shit and you should probably try getting out more. I genuinely pity these people.

Sussex will never be an all Albion county. There will always be adults and kids here with a love for ManU, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs. Who might enjoy watching their club down the pub with like-minded mates. I know many blokes born and bred in Sussex who are long distance fans of those clubs or who share season tickets and travel up. Quite a few of them also care about the Albion as their second club, and some go to home games since the Amex was built.

It's a free country. What's the problem?
