Just started the second series today. Gritty stuff and with Aiden Gillen you knew it had potential.

First series was great and I could even forgive the ' steal ' from the Godfather with the church scene ;)

He was phenomenal in GOT I thought. Played his character so believabley that I'll watch this just because he's in it.

Thanks.

TOTALLY AGREE...THIS IS 10/10...THE ACTOR WHO PLAYS BREN IN 2ND SERIES IS QUALITY. IT IS A MUST WATCH FOR THOSE THAT LIKE STREET DRAMA.
No need to shout, dear.

If you are a fan of Kin, you may want to give Love/Hate a go on ITVX. Another RTE drama with Aiden Gillen with similar themes from 10 years back that ran for 5 seasons. Watching it at the moment and it's really good.

Very good drama series.
Did it go straight to iPlayer? I don't recall it being on BBC1 or BBC2. Its good enough for a 9pm slot on the Beeb. Totally gripping drama.
They would have to move a silly game show or a "Celebrity Something" which seem to fill the weekend TV schedules.
Thank goodness for alternatives.

They are showing two episodes every tuesday around 1040, started last week but as mentioned all of it is on iplayer.

Watched the first episode of series one last night, very much enjoyed and will continue tonight. Problem is I keep staring at the mother with the birthmark on her eye because at one point it looked a bit like a 3D turd emoji. It was in a similar vein that Father Dougal stared at, then outed Henry Seller’s wig.
I still fancy her though.
