According to the Telegraph last September. Seeing Arteta’s failed move for Caicedo, in Feb 23 Chelsea made contact with Caicedo’s agents and wooed them for months. Caicedo’s new Albion contract wasn’t decisive as mentioned by @drew and @Weststander said at the time. Chelsea won them over, it was then months arguing over the fee with us. The 2023/24 Chelsea accounts or data FIFA force clubs to make public, will reveal a record breaking sum paid by Chelsea to agents, you can guess the rest. The agents wouldn’t allow Caicedo to move to any other club, they had control of him at a London hotel. The silver lining was that we made £30m more out of by Liverpool’s interference.

It’s wages and agents fees from clubs, again.

Wasn’t there a time when agents only made their income, x percent, from their players?
Why are you @ing yourself? Have you posted on the wrong account*? :)
* thought I would get in first before WZ notices.

I wonder how much longer PBOBE and TB can keep up the pretence of welcoming the Chelsea directors to their seats pre-match.
Whilst I'm sure David Weir is leading negotiations, I'd wager PBOBE is utterly furious at Chelsea and Winstanley for this, even if it comes to nothing. In public he'll keep his counsel but I expect behind the scenes he is telling them exactly what he thinks and the consequences.
Chelsea really are the worst of the worst football clubs - not an original thought in their self inflated, superficial, knuckledragging, piss poor excuse for a football club.

Clutching at straws, aren’t Chelsea in trouble for this financial year to 30th June?
Leicester need to sell by 30th.

Must admit hate Chelsea more than Palace. There I have said it
I love the rivalry with Palace and how I feel about them pales into insignificance compared to how much I detest absolutely everything about Chelsea. They don’t even need another central midfielder with the number they’ve already got in their squad

They sold training ground to themselves months ago, so they’re fine. Signing a player now makes ZERO difference to ffp. Will be about £100k p and l hit in this financial year.

Chelsea is everything wrong with modern football. You can hate Palace all you like but at least they’re a real football club.

Would love KDH at Brighton, but infinite money cheats Chelsea will just continue to offer infinitely more whenever we have a target.

On one hand it’s flattering they’re copying us at every stage, but it’s also more annoying than anything I’ve ever witnessed in football.
I think it's disgusting and embarrassing.

Incredible numbers, Caicedo’s agents might’ve received £10m plus from the transaction.

On top of their regular %age from Caicedo’s vast new contract.

There’s a Golden Agent Award, Ali Barat won it for masterminding the deal.

They would be my favourite people in football if I was TB they’ve paid near on £200m in the last year or so.
If they sign KDH so be it he obviously didn’t want to play for us that much if he goes to Chelsea last minute.

If Chelsea aren't careful they'll have too many players and risk further discord as a dozen of them will not be getting a sniff of meaningful game time.

If the KDH signing is not happening it would be mad to continue with the sale of Moder to Leicester.

Chelsea are fast becoming a club that appears to be stalking us. Just what sort of joined up thinking do they think they have got? Recent moves by Chelsea raise big questions about their integrity. Dodgy deals and hijacking (raping) another premier league club to the extent they have is disturbing!

No, we need to insist on NDAs before we even start negotiating. No other industries operate like this.
No agent is going to sign an NDA. Their entire game is about telling as many clubs as they can that their clients might be available and interested.

I was born in to a footballing family. My mum was a die hard Brighton fan who used to go with her dad (I’m sure someone on here will remember John & Angela Knight). On the other hand there was my dad, a diehard Chelsea fan. He’d been going since they were proper dogshit. One of the few Chelsea fans now who was actually there when they were rattling round Div 2/3 and getting about 74 people per game at Stamford Bridge.

From basically an embryo my allegiances were up for grabs. My mum took me to my first Brighton game at days old. We beat Orient 2-0, with Dickiv scoring.

Growing up I went to a lot of Brighton games before memories even formed. I’m informed that I was at the York game, shouting incomprehensible baby talk as the goalposts were snapped in half. As I grew older though, my dad tried to snatch me from the hands of BHAFC.

A Chelsea kit was bought for me. Zola on the back. I vividly remember going to a Chelsea game. A 2-1 win v Everton. The late Kevin Campbell for the visitors. Jimmy Floyd brace for Chelsea.

Despite my dad’s efforts I picked Brighton. My first ST was the year we won L1 with Zamora. I’d been to a few games the season before, but missed the Chesterfield game despite a ticket going free. Why? “There’s Brighton fans of 30 years who have never seen us win anything. You’ve been a fan for a year” was my mums logic.

Why did I pick Brighton? Honestly… my mums dad, my granddad who was my idol growing up. The other reasons? Hot Dog & Chips before the game. A Twix at half time.

I say all of that to say this. I f*cking hate those c*nts. F*cking detest them. Not even for a second do I see their CL and PL wins and regret not picking them. I don’t want Palace to go bust but my god I hope Chelsea tumble through the leagues and cease to exist. Leave us alone you f*cking soulless c*nts. Just f*ck off. You pricks.

I don’t even care that much about KDH, I just don’t want them c*nts to get him.
