If your looking at the size of stadiums, the catchments areas I'd say we're very similar sized.

If youre looking at historical success, then thanks to Bobby Robson, theyre bigger.

If youre looking at turnover and profitability we're bigger.

If youre a foreign player from the arse end of nowhere looking at offers from both clubs, I reckon most would consider us bigger right now.

None of it matters one jot.

McKenna will be thinking of himself, his career and I'd guess his ultimate aim of one managing Man U? I doubt this billy bog bollox stuff will feature at all.

To take a squad from L1 to PL is a great achievement, to keep them in PL will be a monumental achievement though also a very difficult challenge, as Burnley have proven.

Does he want a 50/50 chance or maybe worse of relegation (no disrepect to Ipswich, but thats reality of the gulf), or the chance to get into a PL club with a better squad thats more likely to give him a few years PL experience and a higher % chance of a longer period to cut his teeth at this level?

Brighton is a safer bet today, it may not always be of course. Though I like Ipswich and it would be admirable of him to stay.

Watched some more McKenna videos and really does feel like his system would work well with Pervis or Barco, also does feel like his approach would work well with the current glut of number 10s - Enciso, Goodnight, Pedro, Osman.

Yes, under McKenna, Ipswich have been playing a strong systematic game like ourselves which has worked wonders for their performances - similar to De Zerbi’s system but maybe better at penetrating low blocks and less possession now but more aggressive in attack - I can see why we would be interested, he is another coach that has the potential to get to the top of the modern game - perhaps he is at the relative stage now that De Zerbi was with us, he has got as far as he can with the players he has and Ipswich are not big enough for him to move the squad past the bottom of the EPL or even stay up. If so, he could be enticed away.

From two successful promotion scraps to a (probable) relegation dogfight. Is it really that attractive? He got to tell a load of players they are not good enough for the EPL. He then has to sign a load of other players who might be earning a lot more than their teammates. Nowadays, it’s a massive achievement to stay in the EPL in your first season back (it didn’t happen last season), can this really be an exciting prospect?

Perhaps some managers want to specialise in winning and not scrapping at the bottom?

He has had a good thing going. But Ipswich must be nailed on for relegation next year. They were league 1 a year ago, and now they're going into the best league of all time. They will go down, and his stock will take a hit. The question is, how ambitious is he? If he wants a big job in the future, then I think he'll go if offered something by a current premier league club.

Some seem to not be not taking into account just how lucrative a proposition we are to managers out there. Our training ground and facilities are one of the best in the country, we have a strong time with some promising youngsters already blooded in the EPL, a board that is willing to buy players and spend, despite what some folks think on here and seem forget for the right player at the right time we will spend big, Pedro for one. Furthermore we are now established in this league and RDZ showed the world what can be done with a fully fit squad, any manager would love to prove himself here, there is a reason RDZ jumped at the chance of coming here, there is a very good reason for that.

We tick many boxes for the likes of Mckenna and numerous other targets, I am sure the wheels are in motion for TB target.

I don't buy that. Everyone thinks they will go down. So if they do he has performed to expectations and his stock will remain the same. If they get close or even stay up his stock will shoot up.
