If McKenna goes to United then GPott will be back here. And to show his love he’ll stay for a decade; in fact he’ll never leave and will build a castle on Hove Lawns using the GoldStone as his keystone😂

This is getting amusing. Let's hope Barcelona don't need a new manager otherwise he'll have received a proposal from Brighton but would prefer Chelsea but when Man Utd need a new manager they would be his number one choice unless Barcelona put in a proposal in which case they are his ultimate dream club. Although he's a Real Madrid fan really (just in case).

Chelsea are set to ask Leicester for permission to speak to Enzo Maresca. The manager is competing with Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna, who is also a target for Brighton and Manchester United, in the race to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

Yep. Muzza wanted to stay in his adopted city. Poyet didn’t warm to the man or rate him, ensuring that the club wouldn’t make him a decent Championship wages offer. At that time our managers had a huge say on such issues, there was a void until PB joined a year later, giving structure/control which went down badly with Poyet.
My point was not that the Potter and Murray situations are the same but more about fans being fickle. Even though Murray would have stayed, the fact he went to Palace got him dog's abuse on here, it was vitriolic at the time.

Theyre nothing alike mate. Murray was a player about to go out of contract and who wasnt particularly fancied by our manager. He wouldve likely stayed if we'd offered him a decent enough contract (which he deserved), 1 man, Gus Poyet called it wrong and Murray signed for a club who did want him and value him correctly.....as much as that grated. He was always respectful to us on leaving and scoring for his new employers.

Potter was given his chance in the PL here, he was often prickly with stupid comments like "history lesson", he was given extreme patience on horrific runs, we couldnt buy a goal for long spells and the way he left was totally wrong imho. He and his people, + Roberts and Bruno had clearly been tapped up in advance of the official approach (that came on a Tuesday), by Thursday he, and all his staff + Bruno/Roberts had all discussed it with families, negotiated all details, and all signed and left, leaving the club and our coaching set up with literally nothing.

No problem with the aspiration, big problem with the lack of integrity and entirely selfish methods.

The 2 situations are not equateable
100,000% this.

How could anyone who savoured the cathartic joy of revenge in the 4-1 victory against Chelsea want him back on the touchlines for us?
