The pain is worse today than it has been, feels like a constant cramp in the back and sides, have phoned doctors to see if results of blood test are back and they said they are, but had not looked at them!! I asked them too as Im in limbo until they tell me for sure its Kidney Stones, told them today was the worst its been and they said they would phone me back, that was at 1pm! Fed up with drinking water, 3l of it a day at the moment, weeing loads and loads. Does this sound like the start of the "passing" process?

Mrs. H has trouble with kidney stones, the last one she had removed was the size of a crab apple. We got our GP to refer her to Mr Glass at Guys hospital, he is internationally renowned for his work removing stones and he took out Mrs. H's by blasting and key-hole surgery when The Princess Royal said it couldn't be done. He's a genius, if you get the chance ask your GP to refer you.

Just picked up my wife from Princess Royal Hospital after having had an operation to remove these from her. She was day patient and went in at 7.30 this morning and was back home at 2.00pm. now in pain still though waiting for anesthetic to wear off.

Poor you. That is some length of time for it to be hanging about.
What is going to happen at the BUPA hospital? Scan or something to determine size and position or what?
Good luck anyway and let us know how it goes!

scan and then not sure, hopefully they will say that they are tiny and one little zap and all will be done, but its not gonna be as easy as that is it!

All depends on where they are at the moment, if they have not left your kidney then hopefully zapping them is an option. They really are the most painful thing to have.

been to see consultant and it appears hopefully that I may have passed them, no marks to the left kidney, but a small white blemish just close to the right kidney, he said the bad pain I suffered 2 weeks ago could have been me passing them and that the white mark may be scaring which is what is causing me the discomfort I feel now or it is a small stone which is left. CT scan booked for Wed and back to him next friday for results. told me to stop taking the pain killers and carry on drinking lots of water.

Fingers crossed worst is over, but a nagging inside tells me its not the end of it!
