Strong centre back at tottenham , south African international , was on loan at Preston at the end of last season, maybe Poyet could use his tottenham contacts to get him on loan.

I have mentioned this fella a couple of times recently, would be a cracking loan signing IMO

its at centre half and a centre forward where i would like to see us use the loan market, spurs and chelsea should do us a massive favour here

I expect us to get at least 1 real quality loan signing this season. With the new stadium, our style of play and Gus' contacts, there is no reason why we can't attract quality players on loan.

Agree we need to use the loan market. But feel it should be for players who are going to be amongst our best and guaranteed to start. Not for example a 3rd choice striker (like last year) or centre back. Give our own a chance to improve unless it's for someone truly special as the icing on the Gus cake. (Would Gus be the cherry etc? lol).

I think Gus will definitely look for a centre back on loan with Tommy Elphick and Adam El-Abd missing the start of the season.
If he brings in someone on a permanent deal then you would have to think that Elphick would be on his way, or Lewis Dunk to go out on loan.

Caulker is a very tidy player but wouldn't that sort of defeat the object of having Dunk still about?
