Seems to be another war of words brewing between Froch & Khan - shame there is two stone between them!
The defeat led to calls for Khan to retire, notably from current IBF super-middleweight champion Froch who said: “When you get knocked out, get hurt and get damaged it’s painful to watch.
"Unfortunately you can’t train the chin. He’s got a vulnerability there that’s been exposed more than once.”
But Khan has insisted he has no plans to stop, saying: "Carl's always got his little things to say, I think I'll leave it at that really.
"I'm a young fighter, I'm 25, I'm not talking about retiring, I'm still young and I've got a lot in me.
"If he wants to retire, he can retire, he's talking about retiring. I'm in a tougher division. I'm fighting better opposition and I'm a bigger name than him, and I think that's what burns him really."
The last quote particularly about the division and opposition is quite frankly delusional. The Light Welterweight division is pretty poor hence why the likes of Tim Bradley & Devon Alexander have all moved up to Welterweight. The Super-Middle meanwhile is possibly in the top two strongest weight divisions with the likes of Kessler, Ward, Bute, Dirrell, Abraham, Stieglitz & Pavlik all challenging.
Froch's last six fights have been against bona-fide World Class fighters, Khan meanwhile has fought a shot Zab Judah and an overmatched Paul McCloskey. Before this fight Garcia wasn't a huge name and struggled to get past an ageing Eric Morales. Khan once again is talking out of his backside.
