Like Lewis vs Tyson in 2002, probably 5/6 years too late, but still looking forward to it.

Final press conference got really spicy yesterday, Khan throwing in the gay slur rumours before Brook retorted with a 'w****** over porn' (with related gesture) accusation???, will that get the PPV buys up a bit more?

Despite their ages I do see a classic scrap, both men will visit the canvas at the some point, but think Khan will end up the victor with a late stoppage.

Khan Noonien Singh vs Kelly Brook?
not really a fair fight, genetically engineered super soldier from the future fighting Britain's pre-eminent glamour model?

I was amused by Khan's retort which was totally lacking in intended irony or awareness of possible misinterpretation...

As Khan retorted, "Kell you need to word that differently please, don’t be saying that we stayed in the same room... that doesn’t sound right.
...Especially with what I have heard, you should have said sharing the ring or something like that."

I'm not sure that sharing the same ring is an image Khan would want to be conveying if he is so worried about any slurs on his heterosexuality.

So hoping Kell knocks Khan out. Proven a few times to have the glassiest of glass chins and still gives it the billy big bollocks.

Saw Khan fight at the MEN the best part 15 years ago, when he fought Marco Antonio Barrera. He won on a technicality after an accidental clash of heads in the sixth left Barrera badly cut. The most remarkable thing for me though was how badly booed he was by the Manchester crowd.

I don’t actually mind him as a bloke, but I’ve never been able to take him totally seriously as a boxer since that first round demolition by Breidis Prescott in 2008. In many ways it was a bit like Joshua’s Ruiz moment. Spectacularly knocked out by a supposed bum, only on Khan’s case much earlier in his career. I don’t think he ever recovered from that, just as Joshua probably won’t.

As for Brook, I still find it hard to wrap my head around the fact the owner of that voice would kick my arse. I know he would, obviously he would, but it never quite computes in my brain.

I keep telling myself I won’t pay £20 to watch it. I know I will.

I saw this last night and it tickled me too. It’s one of those things that would surely dawn on you as soon said it, but it didn’t seem to.

Normally love a high profile fight, this one just doesn't do anything for me. I don't care much for either of them.

Urban myth or strong rumour but I was told by someone extremely well informed in all things noble art that Frank Warren put the Prescott fight in place knowing what might happen after Khan Senior had attempted to negotiate with Sky behind FW’s back, as Hatton had previously done.

That could be true, but that knockout was far and away the highlight of Prescott’s career. Khan was the first non-South American he’d ever fought and only the second time he’d fought outside of South America.

After beating Khan he was 20-0. In the time since he’s won 11 and lost 17 of his next 28 fights, mostly against obscure fighters in obscure locations. Either he lost something along the way or he took his puncher’s chance against Khan in a very big way. Either way, one of the most brutal first round defeats you’ll ever see.

I'm sure this is of interest to boxing fans and why not, sport isn't all about football. But seeing these two standing nose to nose just makes them look like a couple of silly school kids in the playground. Must admit. it's certainly stopped me listening to TalkShite for a couple of weeks though while they try to drum up some interest.

Having initially doubted this as a credible conspiracy, I’ve just watched this footage of the fight back and I think there’s plenty to back it up, not least Warren’s dry smile during the interview at the end.

Absolute BS.
