PS weren't Leeds fans absolutely filthy towards Kewell when he moved to Liverpool?
What loyalty does he owe them??

How precious of Leeds fans: by the same logic, no Italian should ever sign for Liverpool because of the Heysel disaster.
I doubt any Juventus player will ever sign directly to Liverpool after Heysel.
You are getting confused about nationality and the club people play for. CONCENTRATE.

I bet Starry will have a few words to say on the matter.
'fraid not. i have too much respect for kev and chris. kewell is not even on my radar, couldn't care less who he plays for.I bet Starry will have a few words to say on the matter.
I dunno. I reckon it would leave a nasty taste if it was Brighton involved. If Brighton were to play a team whose fans constantly attacked and threatened the Brighton fans to the point where two Brighton fans were stabbed and killed for no other reason than being Brighton fans, we'd all be up in arms, no? We'd hold a grudge against that team, no? Particularly if those opposing fans delighted in making throat slitting gestures at us, no?
Now, I know that it's an old truism in football that the only ones loyal in the game are the fans, but even so, after an incident and experience like that is it too much to feel that maybe, just maybe, a bond had been forged between players and fans in relation to the rival club at least? So if a player who played in that game-twenty four hours after two people had been murdered after travelling across europe just to watch you play-then signed for the team that murdered those fans I would feel let down, or possibly even betrayed, by that player. Is that really being pathetic and petty?

He didn't stab them personally did he?!
It probably means something to him, but he shouldnt turn down a team just because of a few fans and one incident.
and in fact if he is clued up, he can use the past, to highlight the common bonds between people and football supporters and not the differences.
Top tip. Arrange for a plague for the Leeds supporters and put a Keweel shirt there.
PLAGUE or PLAQUE LC? Either will do.....
