Firstly, IMO keep KP in. Class player having a bad run. I think, no matter what he says in the Press, he does seem to think he is little above everyone.
I wonder if he "listens" if Flower or Strauss talk and help him? The reports were good of his relationship with Gooch when he was assisting prior to the start of the series. I would get Gooch working more with KP and England - Gooch was quality in his day.
Long term, as already mentioned, what we really need is a proper fast bowler. Longer term and although Broad has been mentioned as an all rounder, let's not discount Rashid. Of course not of the expense of Swann!!
Come on England - to win an away series in South Africa would almost match if we won away at Villa!

Can people please stop saying "Yes Pieterson is out of form, but...."

He is NOT out of form. He has an average of 31 in this series, higher than Prior or Strauss. Don't get me wrong, thats not exactly world-beating, but its hardly a crisis.

Shall we have a discussion about Prior and Strauss' form instead, or shall we just enjoy the fact that England are playing brilliantly and nothing needs changing?!?!?! This thread is a joke.

KP, what a ****.

Should have been dumped a couple of games ago.

No batting form at all, fidgety at the crease, gone up top.

Net contribution to this test = 3 runs (7 with the bat minus the 4 ridiculous overthrows he's just done).

if you're one of his team-mtes out there you must be wondering WTF the bloke is on the pitch for.

What if England need to bat for 2 days to win the series? Do you really want KP to come in at 25-2 and charge down the wicket trying to smash Steyn back over his head? There is a place for aggression and Strauss, Collingwood and Bell are all capable of it when the need arises. What KP is lacking at the moment is the ability to stick around when he has to. He has managed it in the past. What England need to win the series is to bat for 3 and a half days and KP should be aware of that

A remarkably prescient post. A big innings required....

BBC Sport:
0840 - WICKET - Pietersen c Boucher b Parnell 12 (Eng 84-4)
Down goes KP, chasing a wide one and nicking Parnell to Boucher behind the stumps. Pretty poor shot to be honest.
