Why do i keep seeing his name linked with clubs like,,Lincoln,Wallsall,Saints????....Surely he will get a championship side, as he is class and even at 35, still got bags of goals in him, along side a tall target man.....Liam Dickinson???....Only jokeing, but if the clubs been mentioned are really in for him???????

he is at moment, but it would appear not for long...bit to old for prem maybe but surely good enough for championship and top championship side at that.

doubt he'll stay at birmingham, he did the same at west brom where he decided to have a season of regular championship football rather than a season of bench warming in the prem

you'd think he'd still easily be good enough for the championship, he'd f***ing DESTROY this league

Anyone coming in for a codger would have to look at his abilities sustaining for the whole season, not just for the start of it.

It's not (normally) worth having a player on your books, no matter how good they are, for just 10 or 15 quality games a season. It would upset the squad rhythm over the year, and maybe even over a match - if he cannot reliably complete a period with all capability.

For us, it really wasn't all that sensible to keep plugging away with Hinshelwood and awaiting his return to fitness.

I never rated him much until I saw him come on as sub for Birmingham against Swansea last season. We were 2-0 up and coasting it, on comes Phillips and 20 mins later he'd scored 2 belters and set up the winner for them

The guy was pure class. How he can head the ball so well being 5ft. and a fart is beyond me.

His legs may be going, but he'd still do it for another season - at least as a super sub

Yes the bloke is a class act, it just goes to show you don't have to be a beanpole to score goals, a low C of G can actually help you turn and even jump!

I'm sure he will play in the Championship. He should still be playing for England IMHO...

Didn't he once poll no votes at all in the Luton by-election?
