Whing will probably start at left back with Virgo at right back and Tunnicliffe/Elphick in the middle. I'd rather have El-Abd play there than Mayo!

Mayo has been a loyal servant to the club, and has given all he could and I am a fan of Mayo for this. However if we are to move on, people need to be cut even if we like them. I wish him all the best, but we do need to move on.

The only reason I would like to see Mayo stay for another 2 and a bit seasons is to set a record I doubt anyone could ever match and that would be to play at 4 home grounds for the same club. I doubt anyone has ever done that before (infact has anyone ever done 3?) but much the same as when we last tasted a glory patch there will be clear outs and probably still see a couple of Slade stallwarts come in

He was given a second chance like Hart was, just that Hart proved he was still a valuable player

Probably not in the modern age...maybe when the professional game first took off and was played on park pitches, teams seemed to move around fairly regularly.

The old pals act should now be no-more as Knight is not chairman.

And Micky is not manager.

IMHO giving OGH another year was a dreadful decision, and I doubt we'll see him more than half a dozen times this season, including bench appearances. Bur fair enough, he contributed to getting us out the hole that those who do not chase lost causes left us in. And for that, he's worth some form of recompense. Tho has to be said, I'd rather it was in the form of a bonus cheque than another year's contract. OGH's been clapped out for three or more years now. As I'm sure he'd admit in private.

Very mature and adult response there. Obviously there is something you dont agree with so why dont you actually say what you dont agree with rather than just chucking the insults which looking back through your other posts you seem to do on 50% of every post you make?

Give Slade some f***ing respect. He's not a complete idiot. Mayo was past it 4 years ago and Slade knows full well he's not good enough.
