What's the betting than when the team return for pre season training he's allowed to train with them and then in the absence of McNulty he gets to play in a couple of pre season friendlies and then gets offered a contract.

I still think he'll get to run out at Falmer as an Albion player.

I suggested that on another thread and for a few games he wouldnt let us down and would probably be the best option that we have short of bringing in a loan or another permanent signing.

Could go after Matt Richards as cover left back or left midfield!!

Nonre of them. However RS is clearly trying to build a new team for the future, I cannot see how Mayo would form a part of that. I agree that we have a lack of options at left back, however re-signing Mayo would go against Slade's apparent rebuilding philosophy.

But would overcome a short term immediate problem probably quite cheaply.

he seems like a top bloke and that, and loves the albion, but if slade is building a team with the aim of eventual promotion, i can't see how mayo would be part of that

No chance. We need to sign a left back anyway as cover for McNulty and therefore this will be the player that is likely to start the season in that position. There is no way RS will want only one recognised left back in the squad - we've been there before!

Nah, he's had his annual scam nipped in the bud bigtime. Even had the cheek to say in his farewell interview in The Argus words to the effect that he regretted his departure and had at the very least hoped to be given the chance to train with the team over the Summer 'to at prove his fitness levels'. Yeah, right. If he's that interested in his fitness levels, maybe he could join a gym or something
