He was genuine. He didn't have to say anything.

You can't say that. No-one ever can. You mean, of course, you think he was being genuine. And I don't doubt you on that. I concur with ole misery guts Uncle Buck though.

He likes Coppell.

I'm not sure what that has to do with it.

There may be a veterans game before with the oldies like Ward and Kezza mentioned Robbie Reinault will be coming.

BRILLIANT, that should be the main attraction!

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Poor considering, but I guess that no major opposition is going to turn out for someone that should have been shipped out to non league footballl several seasons ago:jester:

Come on people. Don't let's piss on Kerry's fireworks. Apparently he's happy with it so let's just take it at face value.

He's been a terrific servant for the club, played at 3 home stadia, played under how many managers and is the ginger prince.

It'll be lovely weather in the middle of summer, lots of old faces there. Let's give him a great night.

edit - And anyone who says he's crap can go f*** off. What the f*** do you lot know that numerous Brighton managers don't?

Thanks. Let the cynics think what they want. I know what I saw and what I heard this evening.

I am a cynic, but I am a cynic who will pay my money out of respect for what he did for the club when he was a decent player.

As its probably his last game for the club, I hope (but dont expect) it will be a decent turnout.

Agree with all of that - Kerry has been a tremendous servant.

I might go back on what I said above earlier - Kerry might well be genuinely delighted about this game. Because, compared to no game at all, which is where this looked like heading, it's a huge improvement.

You cant put a cost on 1997, or any other year that Kerry was our player of the year.

Yes, whilst the younger generation have never seen him at his best (and god knows I would be the same if I wasnt lucky enough to be around in those days) he does deserve this.

Its bitter sweet tho, because its a year late and i'm afraid just not able to cut it in the Football League anymore.

Anyway, I will be there, with the kids and a few lads who dont bother anymore who still have a soft spot for the GINGER PRINCE.

Kerry played very well at Northampton (and other games) for someone who can't cut it in the football league anymore.
