Sigh. Exactly what I feared a couple of postings back has happened. Can't anyone but Monty play a slow steady innings – doens't matter how many you score, just occupy the crease. Gah. Real uphill struggle to save this one now. Need to make it to tea with AT LEAST four wickets in hand.

Monty gone for 80. % wickets left, 2 and a half hours left to play. It's going to be close.

The other thing we need to hope for is for Worcs to hold out against Surrey. They're 7 down...

239-6 at tea. Losing Prior right before the interval could be the moment that tips it Kent's way. Outside chance, but the lads are going to have to defend like their lives depend on it to make it to stumps with wickets in hand.

The opportunity for Luke Wright to come of age - batting out for a draw could boost his confidence tremendously!

On a brighter note, Surrey still struggling to get Worcs out - and Worcs only need another 93 to win!

All over. Boo.

Need a win or two soon or we're going to find it hard to escape the relegation quicksand.

Too inconsistent !!! been the problem all season.

We mullered them by an innings last week and can't even hang on for a draw 1 week later.

I blame the senior batsmen (with you on this one Perry !) especially Goodwin, as our overseas player we cannot afford for him to not produce the goods........How many other Counties overseas batsmen have not yet scored a Championship ton ?
