Can someone tell me how the fixture list has thrown up us playing Kent in the 1st and 3rd games of the season?? Bit odd isn't it?

Kent petitioned the ECB that given their catastrophic failure to play Mushy, they should be allowed to play Sussex twice in the first month before the pitches dry out, thus negating the 'Mushy' effect.
